So I finally pushed through the last 150 pages or so of the first book over this weekend.  I don't know why it was so tough for me to feel the mounting suspense, but I was not compelled at all.

Now I'm 150 pages into the next book and totally compelled.  Wishing I could keep on reading instead of work.  :)

Apparently I am living under a rock, as you are like the 8th person I've heard in the last couple months rave about this series. Now that I'm done traveling I believe a trip to the bookstore is in order.

OMG I DIED of love with the first one!!! But I think the third is officially about to top it. The second was okay, but I didn't love it as I do the other two.

I think I enjoyed the 2nd trilogy even better. More D/s rather than S/M for the kinky stuff, and I just like the plot lines a bit better. I definitely think they are worth reading.

I read all 14 of Katherine Kerr's Deverry books over the last 3 months or so and I'm looking for a new series--let me know if you think of anything!

Wait. There's two series(es)? All I know is I have at least five books with 'Kushiel' in the title. I didn't recognize they were separate trilogies.
