Last night, Izzy used sign language to communicate with me for the first time. She clearly gave me the sign for milk. Twice. And giggled and smiled and kicked when I asked if that's what she meant. It's what I have to do to make sure it happens. It's the ONLY sliver of time that I'm not needed elsewhere. So I sacrifice sleep. Tough choice, I know, but it had to happen.
