Has anyone read the Obi-Wan book?

Has anyone read "The Life and Times of Obi-Wan Kenobi" by Ryder Windham? I've just finished it and there was quite a bit about Obi-Wan's thoughts about Vader before and after his fall, no big new revelations, it basically follows the storyline of the films. I wondered if anyone else had any thoughts about it.

I've read it and thought the parts about Obi-Wan's early years were very interesting. After that though it was a repeat of the movies, with the welcome pieces of Luke here and there when he was at Obi-Wan's old house. It was glaringly obvious that Obi-Wan had never even considered trying to save Anakin and that really bothers me.

The book began with such promise but then quickly turned into a summary of what we already know from previous films and books. That bit thrown in at the end when Obi-Wan realized that Vader saved his son and then they were together in the Force was lukewarm at best. A bandaid approach. But then I think the book was officially labeled for young adult readers, perhaps that's why so much of it was a recap.

I read this, it was simply a review of happenings most fans are already aware of.
