That article is infuriating.

It's such a blatant violation of her human rights.  And what harm is she doing?  Provided the burkini thing is made of wetsuit-rubbery stuff, or lycra-y stuff, or some suitably swim-suit ( Read more... )

I think I might have seen a reference to this earlier. It seems that perhaps they are trying to have their heart in the right place but they are doing it stupid and hamhandedly.

If I had the capacity, I'd invite the lady here to the states, where she can swim in a man's tuxedo for all anyone cares.

Exactly. It's so unbelievably French-always with the pretending that they have no cultural problems. Honestly. *rolls eyes*

I'd like to see someone swim in a man's tuxedo. Voluntarily, I mean-I've seen a few people taking a less-than-voluntary swim in a tux after a ball :D
