Man you got it all wrong, these guys aren't actually "skeet's". So many people believe they are skeet's just cause of their voices. These guys dont actually talk like this, smoke or ride skidoo's and they're not homophobic either. They are white, yes, but they aren't "aggressive or uneducated". They just make fun of the skeet's in Airport Heights and many other places. If you talked to any of them they sound like any normal person.

So let me get this straight, if you talk like a newfoundlander, your a skeet. This is the stupidess thing i ever heard! i'm from Carbonear and just about everone i know there has a Newfoundland accent, including myselve(its a different accent than the one heard in St. Johns and surrounding area too) When you said `If you talked to any of them they sound like any normal person` what were you trying to say, that if you talk like a Newfoundlander your not normal. Well you better seriously get you facts straight, because you put alot of Newfoundlanders in a catorgory that there not in. I cant belive that someone would say this about the Newfoundland culture, what really sickens me is that its a Newfoundlander that said it. Well the worst part of all of this is, i dont know who made this comment. I would like this person to come out and reviel theirselves so i can show them that i have a strong Newfoundland accent, i`m not a skeet and i am normal.

a skeet is a person who smokes and does alot of drugs and dress's like a wigger.. and gazeebow unit are not skeets, they are a few friends who make fun of skeets! in my opinion itis hilariouse! i have met these guys before and they are funny guys.! but no one should take this stuff seriously it was made as a joke, and we hope it stays as one.. i am a newfie myself, and no one acctually talks like that! or does what they say in theore raps.. its just a laugh ! dont take this stuff seriously

What do you mean no one from Newfoundland talks like this? I'm from Newfoundland and i know thousands of people who talk with one of the many Newfoundland dialects, including myself. Were just talking the way we did for centurys, and i think its a shame when you here a Newfoundlander without there colourful accent. Why would someone who comes from such a deep rooted culture want to become so "Americanized". As Newfoundlanders were so lucky to have such a distinct culture, i can't see why any Newfoundlander would say that " i'm a Newfie, and no one really talks like that". Anyone who dont embrace their Newfoundland culture is throwing away something that the majority of North Americans have already lost. One more thing, this person referes to theirselve as a "Newfie", do you realize this name is derrogitive! It was not givin to us as a friendly gesture, nor was any other of this worlds racial slurrs, which we will not mention. I'm not a "Newfie", i'm a NEWFOUNDLANDER, and i'll hold my head high no matter where i go in this world!

Yarr. I'm a young punk from Mt. Pearl, and I knows all about skeets and the overt skeetery associated with St. John's.

Skeets have changed a bit over time- they used to be guys who listened to heavy metal, who also smoked and spat. One could increase their skeekitude prodigiously by being from "around the bay."

Now, because most idiots tend to listen to rap music, the skeet has transcended to new heights. It's hilarious, actually.

gazeebow unit are hilarious. i grew up with ever single one of those guys except shanks( mike) i only met him a while ago. i played hockey with andrew and matt forever. theyre not skeets at all. i ski with matt, mullaly boards. they normal people who made the group for a laugh last year in gr 9. for fuck sakes im an emcee from st johns and im in the song mixed feeling. im "mic-ill". stop calling them "skeets" when thyre just normal kids having a laugh man it pisses the fuck out of me. none of us are skeets..what so ever hahaha
