[Marisa, supreme busybody that she is, is already at the forest, where the fire rages most fiercely. Although she's surrounded by fire, the fire hasn't scorched her clothes, and she's observing her surroundings.]

I'm just happy that it doesn't burn!

I was in the centre of the city, and the buildings caught so fast, I thought that for sure I would be caught in it all!

[He’d been avoiding the forest but perhaps that had been part of his folly. Much of Avon’s bizarre occurrences seemed to originate there. If he was ever going to learn more about this place’s interworkings the forest might be an ideal location to search. He had not however expected the flames to be everywhere or to run into anyone else doing the same.

[Mary seemed to have a way of getting into trouble all on her lonesome, therefore it wasn't surprising that she was already in the forest. That was a bit of a concern]
