Have finallly watched all of S3 of Veronica Mars, I feel so sad...

I knew exactly what happens of course, through watching all the LoVe bits online, reading fan fics etc, but I was reluctant to finish the series, I suppose because then my viewing of it would be completely finished too. Also I hated the way it was left open, and Logan and Veronica were broken up twice just for the sake of drama/ratings who knows.

I totally did the same thing! Started watching season 3 and then spoiled it all for myself with fanvids and fics. D'oh :) Maybe I need to watch it again though, as I have a lot of anger towards that season which may not be justified. I totally agree with you about Veronica - I also found her smug and completely self-righteous most of the time (again, maybe I need to re-watch).

Trip prep is coming on, but there is soooo much to do *gulp* I shouldn't complain as it will be worth it, but it's kind of weird planning for 12 months of my life. Never done that before...

The fic is coming on, I'm nearly done with episode 6, but the muse comes and goes. I wanted to get as much out as I could this week as it's my 1st wedding anniversary this weekend and I had hoped to get it done by then, but... we'll see. fingers crossed!

I guess my main gripe of wrongs to right in my fic was to have veronica be more like s1/s2 veronica and really tear her down and make her realise what she's got when it's finally gone. Also, I didn't really like the main story arcs in s3 so they went too in my version. In fact, mine is really just a completely different season 3 :) It's getting very AU now... In a good way!

My main issue with Logan in s3 is that he sort of lost his spark. I think the creators were trying to make him more of a straight man to Dick, and maybe they thought they were making him more "grown up," but in the process I think he lost a lot of those qualities that made him Logan. He was sort of sluggish, physically and verbally.

And this was even before the first breakup with Veronica--in the very first episode of s3, L&V just don't have the electricity that they did in s1 and s2.

I can see what you mean, I feel there was chemistry there but we all felt cheated out of seeing their Summer ( no references even), which didn't help. I think Logan comes across as unsure, maybe trying to be a "grown up", for me it's more Veronica that seems off straight from the first episode. After they are supposed to have had sex, he looks blissed out, proud, sweaty, and happy. She is clutching the sheet to her chest like her life depends on her, and making a stupid joke "woof, you should think about doing that professionally" to me that is such a lame thing for her to say

See, I thought they were both kind of distant in that post-sex scene--they're not touching each other at all, which just feels off because when they were a couple in s1 and s2, they couldn't keep their hands off each other.

I think the real problem was in the direction rather than the acting or writing, because with a different approach to that scene (and many other L/V scenes in early season 3), it could have come off much cuter and sweeter.

Ugh--I could go on and on. :)

He sure does mumble a lot in S3, couldn't understand him all the time. The whole things leaves me feeling disapointed and unfulfilled, it was such a lame ending, okay they had that look, but I think Rob Thomas made a mistake keeping it open ended.

Unfortunately, they didn't know they weren't being renewed until after that last ep was shot, or we might have gotten some closure.
