Close, very close ... if I don't have a brainstorm and go in a different direction. Damn, is anyone else getting hungry? No doubt I should be writing about exercise instead ... but nah! I know even less about that than about fine cuisine. I'll just have to soldier on (grin).

Food Network is great for ideas. Same with the Cooking Channel.

We don't get the Cooking Channel, but Food Network is a favorite, especially the Chopped and Iron Chef-type contests. I'm also a big fan of the Stump the Cook segment on The Splendid Table on public radio .

I'm hoping to include in the menu at least ONE dish that I've actually made (salad, maybe?), but most will be derived from Internet research. Which has actually been fun even though it's resulted in a kind of perpetual peckishness. Thanks for following along.
