Sooooo much fun at the table and between courses. I have had to stop and search your links for the sumptuous details. (never too old to learn something new, right?) I anticipate the upset later on, but really, this is a perfect evening of eating and wooing. All the foods you suggest sound delicious. I want to rush out and buy Pom Molasses. Miranda is slowly working herself into a tizzy. I hope she can handle dessert. Must be the cheese course that causes her to loose it....aged cheese can do that to a person worried about the passing of time.
Is it too early to tell you that I love you for this?

The learning new things thing -- that's why I'm not the fastest writer on the planet ... because I love discovering tidbits of this sort. You might say (ahem) that I'm "an infomaniac."

As for whether it's too soon for declarations of love -- I doubt there's an author alive who doesn't appreciate receiving them early and often. LOL. Thanks.

Speaking of which, there might be something mighty like one of those in Part Four, which will be up in a bit.

I'm really enjoying the subjects Andy and Miranda are talking about - music, family, wine, and of course food. Very educational. Andy's little misstep while delivering the soup was funny.

Is there anything sexier than intelligence? Well, maybe (grin), but neither of these women would be interested in the other if she were brainless, vapid, or ill informed. As for Andy's misstep -- it's exactly what I imagine I'd end up doing in such a situation ... only I wouldn't catch myself in time and would dump the dish in Miranda's lap. [Then again, would that be a disaster? She'd have to get out of those clothes, maybe need some first aid ... hmmmm. I'll have to remember that for elsewhere in the series.] Thanks for the comments.

Fabulous! This is just getting better and better. I adored the Jacqueline du Pre conversation and Mary Oliver, Miranda making scotch eggs so carefully, oh just all of it! This is a treat in every sense of the word...

Glad you're enjoying it. I stumbled upon du Pré when I googled "trout quintet" and emerged from further surfing hours later impressed by her immense talent and saddened by her loss. As for Mary Oliver, she's one of my faves and I'm always pleased to bring her to the attention of others. Thanks for commenting.
