Time will tell -- but receiving comments and compliments certainly helps keep things flowing. Thanks so much for chiming in regularly and enthusiastically. I'll try to give you the opportunity to do so again in the not too distant future.

It's very easy to go overboard with the metaphors -- the challenge has been to hold back a little. I'm glad, nevertheless, that you found my offering an appetizing one [grin]. Thank you for commenting. Feedback really does facilitate future efforts ... in my case, especially. I'm a glutton for it. LOL.

Second servings, eh? I've got to get back to the editing that piled up while I was enjoying myself here, but I'll see what I can do in late August or early September.

Beautiful! One of my favorite lines, “What would you do, Miranda, if you knew you could not fail?” One of the ultimate dichotomies of Miranda's personality, the way I think we both see her, is that she is so fearless in her career but has spent the majority of her life settling for less in her relationships. Maybe because it takes a lot of energy to be so bold everywhere in one's life?

I know you've mentioned that, due to other projects in line first, that you may not revisit this 'verse again for awhile but I would definitely love to see the next steps in their building relationship. You've set this up so wonderfully for more "feels" of the culinary variety. :)

Thank YOU -- for the feedback and for helping me to keep it real as the story developed. Let me know when I can return the favor.

It does take immense energy to be bold and some things are easier to be bold about -- failing in a specialized field like the fashion or publishing business is not the same as failing in something any healthy human being is supposed to be able to do ... like love or marriage, for instance. I can't fault Miranda -- but I'm very glad she decided to be brave here.

As for what's next -- time will tell. This story doesn't fit into my original plans for LIAB, though it makes use of its characters. And then there's the non-LIAB story that popped into my head, set in Cincinnati, when the fic-a-thon was gearing up. And the standalone that may see the light of day before anything else. Oh yeah, and work. And the grandkids arriving in the next hour or so. LOL. I'll see what I can do. Thanks for the encouragement.
