Book help

So, I was wondering if someone could recommend me some reading material. I have just finished The Hunger Games series and I absolutely loved it. Because I seem to be on a roll now and it's summer, meaning less tv and more reading time, I was wondering if any of you could recommend me anything.

I picked up the Hunger Games because of ohbooth and insaneboingo . Thanks ( Read more... )

Seriously, the Sookie Stackhouse books are freaking amazing!! I love the author (who is even more amazing in person) and the stories are so wonderful. If you are worried about it ruining True Blood for you, don't. Although the books are WAY better IMO, the TV series is pretty much LOOSELY based on the books by now. This last season departed so much from the book it was ridiculous. (it's supposed to be a book a season, like season one was book one, and so on). And Charlaine even said at the Comic Con panel that they are two different monsters completely (the books and the show) two different forms of entertainment and that they should be taken like that. :) If you need more convincing on this let me know :)

Also, if you like mystery crime type books, I have recently gotten into Michael Connelly. I read Lincoln Lawyer so that I could see the movie, and then I got hooked. Really good writing and interesting stories.

YAY! I hope you like them too. I mean, to me, the books are WAY better than the seriues, and you'll see how they fuck up a lot of stuff in the series by going off the books and either you like the changes or you don't. BUT both are worthwhile means of entertainment.
