I looked up sleep paralysis on Wikipedia, just for kicks, and found this. It's funny, because the symptoms of sleep paralysis don't really match up with what I have, but that picture describes it exactly. The next time I'm trying to explain it, I might just hold up that picture instead

i probably should have elaborated. anyone can have sleep paralysis at any time depending on how much undisturbed rem your body gets, but some people have issues that make sleep paralysis occur more often. for me, it is very much like how that picture is although i don't envision like demons and stuff. it's more like i'm conscious and can't move anything and i'll keep telling myself over and over again to do anything -- blink, move my leg, etc., because there is this overwhelming sense that if i "give in" and just go to sleep or whatever, that i'll die. like, its this crazy panic that if i don't move and wake up, i'll never wake up again.

I have sleep paralysis. It's freaky. I've always had the scary experiences, either thinking there's demons there or someone about to kill me.
