I could have sworn I had something interesting to update with, but by the time I got to the 'post an entry' page I'd forgotten it. Typical. Professor Morgan swears I have a mind like a steel trap, but I think it's more like a sieve

I know what you mean. I only seem to find time to update when I'm upset about something, or when I have a link or video to share. I never just update with "this happened today, and I'm glad it did." I guess that's the way LJ works.
