I gave my notice. 1 month. It's been exhausting, draining, scary. I have been at my current job 16 years. Now that I actually got myself out of the wondering place and into the decision space, I have to start dreaming and visioning of the future. Something I don't do much. I have been stingy with dreams

what part of the bay area are you looking to live in?
i hope it all goes smoothly! moving is hard. the rental market is a bit better- at least where i am- than it was a year ago but im not sure thats saying much! i would be happy to help in any way i can though.

We are looking at Mountain View, Palo Alto, Hayward. I think.

Google is in Mountain View.

I am also cashing in retirement savings to move. this will pretty much be the last of it. But, I can work another 28 years at the new place, I tell myself, so it will be ok.

Moving is scary, but good. We have a home, but no childcare; that sucks, too.
