I'm currently reading "House of the Scorpion" by Nancy Farmer. A few years ago I had started reading this book and set it aside. I'm not sure why, but I do know that many times after re-reading a book I'm able to look at it differently and enjoy it.  Perhaps it has to do with my mood at the time. Anyway, I really like the book

I will often try to come back to books I didn't like the first time around -- or a sequel, like I did with Cinda Williams Chima's trilogy (I started Warrior Heir and didn't really like, but came back to Wizard Heir and *loved* it).

That's a big dog ;)
