:( I didn't think of that. This may sound naive and dumb bc obviously homeless people have more of a motive to pick-pocket; I realize this, BUT you could be pick-pocketed by anyone. I have hugged many people who I have just been introduced to (techincally strangers). I think there are just as many people in the general public that shouldn't be trusted as there are homeless people who shouldn't be trusted. I will continue to hug people.

ps. I was not pick-pocketed. He just wanted a hug.

Its logical, but i wasn't pick-pocketed. Logic has its limits just as wishful thinking does. Whether you choose either of the two, you're not guaranteed anything. Would you rather walk around being a cynic or a romanticist? Either way you'll be screwed over. It's just a matter of preference.
