Bullies were born and bred to terrorize kids like me. When one thinks of a typical bully, they think of a snarling budnick of a boy, slamming the small kid up against the lockers. Oh, wow. I was bullied, but I didn't really care too much what the kids thought. On the other hand, my bullying stopped at some point because, at home, my older brother was doing worse, and so, one day, when the bullies came after me to actually beat me up, I ended up fighting back. I didn't fight back on purpose, but I was so tired of being physically mauled all the time, that I just snapped.

Psychological bullying continued, and does, sadly, to this day, including by one of my students who also happens to be within the power structure of the school.

This was very well done, and engaging. Did I read right that you were in elementary school when these girls talked to you the way they did? That's shocking in a horrible way. :(

I remember so vividly what it was like to be in your situation - I had heavy glasses, braces, was incredibly skinny, and, due to skipping two grades, was 12 when I started grade nine. My mother made all my clothes. This entry was so well-written that it brought back a flood of memories, and I can understand so deeply why you would do something to gain even a few minutes of acceptance. It's a terrific entry.
