I've been absent here for many weeks. Anyone feel fonder towards me? I've been focusing most of my attention on my knitting blog and getting my knit on and have found that I don't really have much else to talk about. Sad isn't it

I've been loving hearing Hitchens on the various NPR call-in shows on that bookI feel about him as you dofrequently a jerk, but I do enjoy a good atheist rant. (Though I feel like he and Dawkins, etc, can be so strident and snobby-soundingthe accents don't helpthat they can turn off people who might otherwise be inclined to agree. Alas.)

I agree with you re: Dawkins and Hitchens. Both books are written in a folksy manner which often comes across as pretentions. Thank Darwin for Sam Harris!

Yeah, I agree, the political system down here is alien and insane. It's a whole other world. Glad to see you back.
