Miou shows up in fantasy genre series. She is an attractive and ambitious young witch on the journey of acquiring one of the very special magical powers. She is usually seen in exotic garments walking, sometimes barefoot, in the rough, rocky or desert areas. What makes Miou appealing to the readers is that she enjoys such danger and challenge. Her eyes are fixed only on the goal she has set, and she therefore tends to be aloof and oblivious to other people. She may not realize till the end of the series someone else’s interest in her or how others have influenced her journey. Throughout the series she is followed by a human or an animal wanting to befriend and join her trip, making her expedition an amusing one for the readers ( ... )

Emily is an ethereal half-animal or faerie who rarely appears in the human world unless there is a duty as a mediator of the two worlds. She lives in a heaven-like place where it's difficult for evil or danger to reach.
She enjoys observing the human world and making fun of its folks. When she does visit the human place, she does lot better than humans in many things, especially in negotiation. Although there are characters from the dark side working to capture her, she usually escapes troubles or danger as if she is protected by something very powerful. She nonchalantly stirs the ordinary world with her spells. Her magic comes from her contact with Nature.

i like the idea of living in a heaven like place and only coming down to earth to nonchalantly stir the ordinary world. splendid, i say. although, im almost sorry to point out that my name is amy, not emily. not to worry, i was called hannah only 20 minutes ago. and ive also been called janelle quite frequently.
