Nightmare in the Fridge

Jan 03, 2007 22:23

I doodled my least favourite foods during class...
(Ham, sausage, and meat dumpling)
I can't stand sausages and ham (meat dumpling being my least fave)
When I came home, I found a horridly big ham sitting in the fridge!
Was my doodling a prediction? It creeped me out ^^;

I consider them comfort food. Since my family is from South America, pork is a big part of what we eat (along with cow, goat, and horse). So I grew up eating a lot of stuff like ham, and sausage. Especially during the winter.

I'm a big eater, esspecially when it comes to hearty foods :9

I do like sausages but they have to be a certain type, but I can't stand ham for the same reasons. D8

What a freaky song. >__>;;

Girl, you crazy!

There's some good quality meats you can buy without any artificial preservatives or anything nasty. They usually taste better when they're clean. Don't be afraid!

Did you move away from your parents when you moved to Tokyoo?

Yeah... I did find this one kind without the additives.
And it's so rare in Japan... Here we soak everyhting in
dangerous chemicals *_*

I live with my family in Tokyo :) I was born and raised here.

You mean like chemicals like the kind they make Japanese pickles with? I have a photo of some pickle that was glowing magenta pink! I would never ever eat that!

I do love sausage though ^^;; It tastes so good! I never had sausages in Japan, I didn't realize they had any.

I'm with you on the meat buns, they're icky :P

Ham is good though ^_^ To be honest, American meat is much better than Japanese meat, you should come eat over here sometime ^_^

hahah! oh i love your drawings!!!
i bet you're a successful manga artist,
it's just that you haven't told anyone yet!
like a ghost writer, i know ; )
oh shame you don't like sausages and ham,
i'm more fond of italian dry-cured hams you know? like parma.
No added chemicals of course!
i only eat like oraganic or fresh butchers sausages, you can get some nice meats here...
i guess it's kind of part of uk cuisine that stuff~
You guys do love your fish and squid!
(although truth be told seafood is my fave without a doubt)

actually i heard curry is the No.#1 dish in Japan,
so that's same as uk really : )
by the way, i love that sauce you have over there - "Bulldog"
You should defrost the ham and smother that all over it!
makes anything taste great!!! XD

Organic stuff is so rare ;_; I need to go eat at where Kit lives. You know the Bulldog sauce? And like it? Hehe, actually I used it on my sandwich today...because you mentioned it! XD And it was good. *munch munch* And yes, curry rice is THE favourite of all Japanese. I want to try the curry and 'fish and chips' in the UK so much. I heard they also make great bread there :O~~
*so happy you like the doodles* >('3')
