So I made myself a smoothie and was holding the glass over my other hand by about 4 inches, and the back of my hand STILL sensed cold air sinking from the surface of the glass.

I've just been eating too much pumpkin.

I found it by search 'decety q-tip' (the scientist who researches this) in google scholar and it revealed other studiy on similar things.
