3. Dish rack (I'm torn between lost counter space and efficient living).

I'm anti-drying rack, so I must ask WHAT IS SO WRONG WITH USING A DISHCLOTH TO DRY DISHES?

Matt has never been able to explain it to me.

I do that too, but then you're stuck with something wet that noone except me will launder. At home, however, this is precisely what we use. Living with a boy is hard work, I tell ya.

Well, I use both. But I actually really don't like drying dishes, so I'll let them mostly air dry. i.e. wash at night, put away in the morning. Then when I'm not using said drying rack, I put it under the sink and then there's more counter space. But I have a decent amount even with it out, so what can I say. Also I live alone. So yeah. 'k bye!

omg yes, a non hinged flap swingy garbage can for sure!

Did you know that in places in europe, people have a cabinet above the sink with slats instead of a solid bottom, so that they can stick their dishes straight in there and they drain into the sink?
