cosplay!

Okay, final update for Y-con. I didn't take very many pictures this year- just spent more time hanging out, I think. But here are the cosplay ones I took.

Very cute Fuu from Samurai Champloo.

Yohji and Crawford! They're my favorite pairing from WK, so I was delighted to see them. Crawford had a gorgeous, hunter green brocade tie- a vast improvement from his anime version.

The same two with Schuldig.

The rest of Schwarz. Lots of Crawfords this year, which is never a bad thing.

These two were my favorites, I think, Sanzo and youkai-Goku. I wish I'd had better lighting for the hallway picture. Their costumes were just incredible! Sanzo's robes and veil were made of a gorgeous silky material, his sutra was real cloth edged with green satin, and real text written on it. Goku's outfit was also extremely accurate, down to the shredded pants and the boots and ears. I love cosplayers who put in this much effort!

There were so many wonderful costumes this year. I saw tons of Turks, quite a few AC clones, many FMA characters, Kenren and Tenpou from Saiyuki Gaiden, lots of people from Bleach, Shigure from FB, cute Wolfram and Yuuri from KKM, lots of Naruto, and a bunch of Ouran Host Club people. A group of them set up a Host Club in the Westin lobby on Saturday and were taking "designations". The Haruhi was particularly adorable, and there was even a Renge. I wish I'd gotten a picture of them!

Y-con was so much fun this year. The events were great, I picked up wonderful manga, art and doujinshi, and the cosplayers were cute. However, spending time with friends and meeting new ones was definitely the best part!

Tiggy, Trasgapoca, and Anidawehi, thanks for being fantastic roommates! I loved all the fangirling, and it was nice to meet you in person.

Neko and Mac, thank you for the lovely gifts- Hakkai has gone into my art portfolio next to Gojyo, I'm savoring the chocolate, and everyone at work loves the bag!

Storm, Barb, Kelly- I really enjoyed hanging out more this year- didn't happen quite enough last year.

Rzyna, I had so much fun playing Apples to Apples! Thanks for posting those quotes, and I wish we'd been able to hang out a bit more.

Kiriko and Pond, congratulations on the success of your book and doujinshi this year- they're absolutely gorgeous! I definitely look forward to more projects. ^_^

And Ara, Hunter, Elfen, Moonriddler Mim, Cherrybomb23z, Isabeau Gower and Suzie B, it was wonderful to finally meet you guys in person; hope to see you at Y-con again next year!

So there we go- all updated for Y-con 2006. Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
