Hope everyone is having a good year so far. New Year's Eve was fun, spent it with several old friends and a couple new ones. We played video games and Trivial Pursuit, stayed up until 3am, listened to all the noise from the party at the nearby Hyatt, drank lots of good alcohol. It was nice to see everyone, hadn't seen them for a year or so. ( Read more... )

Glad to hear you had a fun New Years Eve.

Funny how those of us who get it frequently take snow for granted. I just love the first measurable snowfall. We've yet to have more than an inch or so. Maybe in the next few days.

Good to hear how much you love being a homeowner. ^.^ I was so nervous when we bought our first home. It was cute, but then we had outgrown it almost immediately but didn't have the resources to move until a year ago. I just love the new place so I know how you feel.

Take care.

Yep, it's nice so far- cluttered, but has a furnace that works well, and it's quiet- can't ask for much more! Hope you get some more snow soon- the first big snowfall of the year must be lovely!

Hee, I love hearing about your weekends and the things you do. Even your drive up sounds like it was fun.

That's the one thing I hate about living in LA, that I will never be able to afford a home here. (didn't we talk about this when you were visiting?) Congrats on having your own place. I'm green with envy. ;)

Thanks! The weekdays aren't too exciting, so I think I pack most of my activity into the weekend. I love travelling and taking road trips, so the drive was lots of fun. We'd do that drive twice a year when I was a student here! I miss those days...~

I don't think unaffordable housing is just limited to L.A. in CA- I wouldn't have been able to afford this place without assistance from parents. Maybe one of these days the prices will go down, or you can find someone to share a mortgage with- several people I know up here did that. You're welcome to visit anytime!

Congratulations on your new home! Folk music is a nice change of pace. One of my favorites is Judy Collins' Fires of Eden. The Storm is perfect on cold winter nights.

Happy unpacking!

Thank you! It might take a while, but I'm looking forward to getting settled. Haven't heard that particular Judy Collins album- will have to investigate, esp. since the winter nights here are indeed very cold!

Yohji looks so pensive in that picture, as if he's having lovely daydreams about ravishing a certain red-head ^_^

If I can find it in this mess I call an office, I'll get you a copy. It's lovely.

This picture of Yohji struck me as, "... I could stare at Aya's ass all day..." ^__^

Thanks, I'd love that! Saw Judy Collins in concert at the Wild Animal Park once, it was one of the best performances I've ever heard. Still need to see Joni Mitchell, my very favorite. I have a particular fondness for Ladies of the Canyon, esp. the song "Woodstock".

My thoughts exactly! Of course, knowing Aya, if Yohji ever told Aya that, he'd ignore the compliment and tell Yohji to quit being a lazy idiot and get back to work. Yohji's got lots of patience to put up with such a stubborn kitten!
