Running with the ghosts....

Tonight is "Geisterzug" in Cologne. A possible translation would be "ghost parade". It's sort of an alternative Carnival parade. (Yes...we had zombie walks before they became popular. ;-))
They started in 1990 when the traditional big parade on rose monday was postphoned because of the second golf war.

I never attended the ghost parade. Things like

Ha, I DID attend the ghost parade once in the 90s...was it back in the year with the floodings? I think so...anyway, it was fab!

Ich fürchte,  dass da einige Samba-Musikanten rumrennen. Ich hasse Pädagogen-Samba.... aber zu meiner Studienzeit war das so die Antwort auf Karnevalsmusik der Alternativen.
Und das war immer der Horror....rhythmusbefreite graue Mäuse, die auf Blechnäpfen rumtrommelten.
Dann lieber schunkele. ;-)

Na, ja, aber vielleicht ist das heute auch alles anders. Ich red ja von vor 15 Jahren. ;-)
