Question for people who use or know someone who uses ZoneAlarm

Did some kind of update go out today that kills internet connections for people using ZoneAlarm?

We've received nearly 2 dozen calls from people who suddenly lost connectivity this evening. Disabling ZoneAlarm fixed the problem just fine.

Just wondering if you or someone you know who uses ZA had problems.

No, it's just that Zone Alarm is retarded.

It pops up messages that are like this "Unrecognizable program" is trying to connect to the internet do you want to allow it. And people are like, "I don't know what that is so NO!"

Then you realize they blocked name lookups or inadvertently blocked IE.

Hahah, so I nailed it. I'll bet Zone Alarm is blocking the DNS name lookup because of the fix. :P
