i was contemplating on submitting an entry to the palanca this year. except that the deadline is on the 30th and i havent written anything worth submitting. haha. plus, i thought i could just write and have my family in pinas submit the required notarization because heck it costs $25 to notarize stuff from here and obviously i have to send that ( Read more... )

i have pablo neruda's 20 love poems and a song of despair :) my fave is "tonight i can write" :)

i love libraries and bookstores. public libraries are better because you can read books for free! oh the joy :)

yep. we don't have this in the philippines, unless of course you borrow from a school lib. ateneo's had a great collection of books too.

amen to that.

there's also this website that allows you to read some of the biggest classics online - www.bibliomania.com. Check it out. They also have study guides and stuff if you really want to learn more about what you read. now, this was what i said heaven was when i discovered it. ;D

oh and i forgot to say love love love pablo neruda! got one of his poetry books too and i have to say for 10 poems in a book it was one helluva an expensive buy! been dying to get my hands on an Il Postino cd but that'll have to wait, not included in the household budget at the moment. hehehe!

it was only a few weeks ago that i got to watch il postino. what a wonderful, wonderful movie, same level as cinema paradiso.
