Watch out DC....

...here come the Haynie's! I got a call this afternoon at 4:30 to tell me that I had been "selected" for the position. This means that I haven't officially been offered the job, but the paperwork has been put in motion. I have to wait for all of the red tape to clear before I will officially be offered the job. I am so happy and proud for you and your family. I'm sure we've all been waiting with baited breathe for the word to come through. Congrats, Meesch! No one deserves it more. You'll be awesome in DC. And like you mentioned in one of your previous blogs, DC opens up travel mightily. Friends can actually come to DC to see you economically; and you can travel around the country or world economically. I always got the vibe that though DC is a "big city" it's a friendly city (in general). You'll have to keep us posted as to how you are adjusting once you get there, etc.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! I'll keep you updated on the exciting house hunt :) and John's job prospects. His company is trying to see if they have a contract in that area. It would be nice if he could stay with the same company and just transfer out there.
