Victorian Fires

No words can express the horror that is happening in Victoria. My heart goes out to the families devestated by the fires. So far 131 people have lost their lives and the toll can only grow

It's all just too heartbreaking. I can't bear to watch the news.

Had news tonight that they were safe however since then the town they have been sheltering at has come under threat so its still wait and see

It's good to know you're not in the direct line of danger. My thoughts and prayers for everyone. It's going to be a difficult time for those affected and for those who care about them.

Am all safe and sound although still waiting on an update on my friends. They should be fine as they were sensible on Saturday and evacuated when they first started seeing smoke. The town they were stay at was also under threat last night but seems to have come through the night unscathed. Unfortunatley the same could not be said for other towns.

Whoa, it's almost sick to be so relieved while something so horrible is going on. I know C is quite a way north of the fires, but while I was making some maps earlier to reassure my mom, I suddenly couldn't for the life of me remember where you live. So glad I saw this post as soon as I got home.

Hope your family and loved ones are safe too.

I really cannot imagine how dreadful it is for anybody in your country right now. My heart goes out to all of you as I suspect everybody is affected in some way or other. Take care.
