I miss the ocean.  It is almost painful sometimes to not be able to just go out and sit on the rocks, listen to the waves crash, and feel the salt and spray on my face.  I find myself looking West a lot lately.  I have no desire to go back to Rhode Island, but California...

Oregon is cheaper than CA. Portland is just a couple of hours from several coastal cities, with lots of rocky beaches with nifty tide pools to go exploring.
