Simplicity
Oh, the life of an adult: managing accounts, filing taxes (city income, city residential?), depositing funds, balancing, timing chains, stop lights, wages, tip reporting, signing in, logging off. So, it's some bit of synchronicity that I read this, which is all I'm about lately and hearing Thoreaus words echo back at me... Funny enough, one thing about Thoreau (I just have to keep mixing him in:) is that he has a whole THEME on simplicity.... that's what he was about!
I just love your line "if I was connected to the loved ones in my life enough to receive a birthday card, I may as well start paying my bills again" ... All or nothing. It certainly is how it seems and how I feel as well. But I guess this is where our creativity kicks in... I hope!!
