I am pondering your description of your Bday meal that you had so eagerly anticipated... Why "pleasantly" perfect rather than "deliriously"? Makes me wonder if perfection that is couched in such an imperfect day is not as exciting or wonderful. Perhaps if the whole day had been spectacular, you would have written "blissfully perfect."

Why "perfect" at all though? Hmmm... This leads me on another WORD CHOICE mental path. I wonder why we instinctively think on the perfection or imperfection of things rather than the nature of them. Such as "sensual" "delicious" "dreamy" "inspiring" ...

Of course then I start thinking about linguistics in general and all the uber-specific categories of words to describe FOOD and/or wine. Really, that gets me off track because I'd much rather ponder the abstractions of heart and mind....

p.s. by the way, what was the fish stuffed with again?
