I opened a new gmail account (mollyfromomaha at the gmail to the com) to put on my blog - figured I should use a secondary one in case I get innundated with spam, and so that people won't know my last name (as easily). Anyway, this makes 3 gmail accounts that I access on a somewhat regular basis (my regular one and book club, as well). My ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure there's not really an easy way to do it, other than changing your login name in the options. On a PC, you can run multiple copies of the notifier, but on a mac, not so much.

Damn. Is that gmail's fault or mac's fault? Because if gmail just needs to improve their mac version of the notifier, then that could eventually happen, right?

Well, it's not exactly a feature of the Windows version, it's just something that's more easily accomplished with an OS that is easier to fool (read: Windows). It'd still be something that you'd have to keep track of and remember to do every time you turn your computer on.

I don't think GMail really supports people who have more than one account, so it's doubtful that they'll support that feature in their notifier software. Sorry!

However, you're not out of luck if you're willing to use a POP3 mail program such as the mail program that comes with OS X.
