So I ran the 10K at potato days today. I was the only one in my age group for males (18-24) so I took first for that by default. I haven't seen a detailed listing of the finsihers but I think I placed about 8th. I am so happy for that! More importantly, I DID IT! I took the initiative and ran a race. AMOS!!!!!!! I'm so impressed that you've stuck with the running so much that you took the initiative to do a race. A 10k at that! That's more than I've ever raced at once. When you're at school I'm sure you'll find more than enough scenic routes too.

Speaking of marathons, this is an excerpt from the U of MD Diamodback paper"

"For senior aerospace engineer major Nick Fernandez the finish line usually meant the end of a marathon, not a rampaging deer."

He was taken out by a deer at mile 5 and had to be carted to the hospital.

If and when you run a marathon, keep your eyes peeled for those deer folk.
