Happy Painfully Belated Holidays you guyz! ♥
I saw this in italyatmidnight 's journal and decided to try it! I think it'll be a nice self-reflection as the new decade (Am I the only one that's completely blown away by this? 10 years ago I was freaking 8. o.O) and my first Interim Term at BSC starts. Not to mention that it will make me update everyday for a month. :P

Anyone can look back in my past entries and notice that my "favorite song" changes every other day, so THIS WAS REALLY FREAKING HARD! After I thought about it for a bit, I decided that the artist I choose should probably be Radiohead, just because I have so much respect for them. Not only are they phenomenal musicians and writers, but they're so creative that they've managed to make themselves sound like totally different bands on every CD that they've made--and still maintain a huge fan base. AND somehow miraculously still have this thing when you listen to them and go, "That's Radiohead." I don't know how they do it. CLEARLY, they're witches... But I love them in every possible way yes including that way and have yet to find a song my them that I don't like.
Anyway, Videotape is from their most recent album, In Rainbows. Also the first Radiohead CD I'd ever bought. I know, I'm late. But I own them all nao! >:) I couldn't find the album version of it + a decent video on youtube, so this is a version without a beat and a few other electronic doo dads. Just Thom Yorke and a piano. But it's still just as beautiful.
The steady, pulsating beat reminds me of a heart, so the first time I listened to it and the beat stopped at the end I totally freaked out and started crying. XD
I can't really do it justice in trying to describe it, so I'll shut up now and just let you listen for yourself. ♥

So, winter break is over. No more sleeping until whenever, no more baking cookies at 3 am, no more celestialorb until June (:CCCCCCCCC), and no more being unproductive with little consequence. :/
BUT! Interim Term starts next week! :D
Basically, for all of January, I'll be taking one class everyday and doing whatever afterward. The class that I'm taking is on local food in Alabama! :DDD
I've heard that since a lot of upperclassmen travel for their Interim projects, the campus will pretty much be nothing but freshmen and sophomores doing freshmen and sophomore-ish stuff. I already have plans to pitch a tent on the quad and camp out with people. There will also apparently be lots of random parties. :P
And! And! My birthday's next week! I'll be 19 a week from tomorrow! ^_^
So yeah. I'm excited for January. And if January is as much fun as I'm hoping it will be, maybe the rest of the year will be too. :)

Edit: Check out the pedal action at 3:39 in the video! I hadn't noticed before, but Thom's using the piano pedal and tapping out where the beat in the original song is at the same time! As someone who has been taking piano for 4 months, I'm pretty damn impressed. XD
