Greetings from the land of too many airline problems

I've managed to find internet in one corner of my little room at training, so here is a quick update.

My plane ride was almost the worst I've ever had. Nothing can beat the Chicago fiasco, though. Nothing.

It started out great, we got to the Minneapolis airport early enough that the check-in guy reassigned me to an earlier flight because he thought my original one was going to be late. So I got to Chicago with plenty of time to spare, only to learn that there was a mechanical problem with my plane to Tokyo. When we finally boarded, we were an hour behind schedule, and although the weather was good enough that we got there a half hour earlier, it wasn't enough for me to make my next flight. I have a sneaking suspicion that my final flight from Tokyo to Osaka left earlier than they were supposed to, which I absolutely hate.

Anyway, the people at Narita said there wasn't another flight from Narita to Osaka that night, but if I took the bus to Haneda airport, there was a flight leaving at 8:45. I was originally supposed to arrive in Osaka at 7 pm, this flight would get me there around 10 pm. So I had little choice but to take the hour and a half bus ride to Haneda with all of my luggage, check in and wait for two hours for my flight to leave.

When I finally got to Osaka, it was too late to take the Shinkansen to Okayama, where my training center is, so I had to sleep in a hotel and leave early the next morning. It was pretty bad, I was not a happy bunny, but I made it and everything's been good so far.

I've eaten at Mister Donut twice so far, and it has been amazing. I have since hooked five of my fellow trainees on their delicious donuts. I've also found a tonkatsu restaurant that Canada says we must visit within the next week for dinner, so I am excited.

I start training in about 2 hours and I'm nervous as hell.

That is all. :P
