That poor Nexus tree, it'd been kicked a good many times(with armored boots no less) and Rockman still wanted to hit something. Actually it was a someone he wanted to hit but he had been a good little Rockman and hadn't hit them while they were recuperating

Said poor helmet bounced twice, and then was picked up by a gloved hand -- as the owner of said hand padded out of the brush, frosty teal catbot following at his heels.

Blues turned his 'new find' over in his hands a few times, pretending to study it, before quirking a smile at Rockman.

"Y'need to take better care of these things, before you knock the connectors loose."

"And I bet you know all about 'taking better care' of things, huh. Just what are you doing here anyway?" That certainly wasn't the normal response Rockman would give and he glared at Blues.

"Me? I'm out for my morning constitutional, or something roughly equivalent to that -- we older 'men', we need to stay active don't you know."

Not that Blues was particularly 'old', mind ...

"I certainly do know how to take care of things, or things would've fallen apart on me. Now what bit you today, mm?"

The oddness that is Blues was ignored. Okay, so it earned him an odd look, then it was ignored.

"Then I guess I shouldn't worry about you taking care of yourself either," he huffed unbelievingly and crossed his arms. "And nothing has bit me."

"What about me?"

Despite the question and the situation, Blues had to chuckle.

"I didn't trust Light, not with something so important -- he was well-meaning but I was a malfunctioning prototype, and already known as a rogue. Something else could've forced his hand."

"But he was also a canny old bastard. He didn't tell that Rock that I was any relation to him -- until I hit terminal slowdown."

"It's damned hard to say no when someone is pleading with you and never realized just who you were."

Now that he had the answer, he wasn't sure what to do with it. It didn't help in the way he'd hoped it would, but it was something to think about.

But there was another question, "Does that mean you trust your Rock?" And it was very important to him.

"Of course I do. I trusted him enough then to put my fate in his hands; you could say I trust him more now -- or maybe just in a different way."

Blues cocked his head, eying Rockman.

"Why wouldn't I?"

"You didn't tell him what was happening in the first place. Your Rock didn't even know who you were until it was almost too late."

"Any and all of those possibilities would still give you the answer you want -- you said you don't know if he's okay."

"Even if you didn't get exact details, it's a starting point."

"O-okay. Um...thank you..for-" He made a quick hand motion for everything before continuing Tango's petting.

"Heh. Anytime."

And while Rockman was busy petting Tango, Blues ruffled his hair.

He unconsciously leaned toward the ruffling, smiling lightly. "So...morning constitutional?"

"Entirely through clever use of timing, observation, and hair-fine teleportation."

"Of course, sneaking through the sub-passages helps too."

((I blame 3 hours sleep out of the last 36 for why I went back to this one when I was thinking 'I owe a post ~' -- but at least they're being amusing? ;3))

Rockman blinked, he hadn't expected any sort of explanation. "How did you learn to do all that?"

((Hehe, yes~ (But make sure you get enough sleep today =o *mini fist shake*)))

"Necessity, really. Being a rogue, it was learn not to be seen, or face terminal sanction once I was cornered."

"After that it was more habit than anything else, and a hobby to keep refining."
