oh yes, burt reynolds is still here, wreaking havoc. he alternates between delighting me to no end and making me insane with his bratty behavior. so in other words, typical beagle.

as has always been the case, most of the good acts out here are of the indie pop variety. some bands that might be in your wheelhouse are birds of avalon, blag'ard, tooth, whatever brains...

I've tried all of them, got denied at Local 506.

another club in chapel hill is the reservoir, though i've never been there.

in raleigh there is slims and the pour house, both hit or miss joints with the music they book but in good locations downtown. i did see polvo at the pour house not too long ago.

i play basketball a couple times a week with one of the guys from birds of avalon; i certainly can't promise anything but i can put in a good word.
