Can't say that I like this statue tho. Doesn't correspond to the mental image I have built in my head, so I was inwardly wishing it was fake when they found it.

Btw. the head on the right looks like an Antinous, doesn't it?

Yes, he does look a bit chunky, but I wonder if it might partly be the angle at which the photo was taken as the head looks a bit small. I didn't think at first that the head was an Antinous, but across the eyes it does. It would be nice to see a better photo.

Rather unflattering, isn't it? Sexy Lexy should lay off the raviolli :D And I'm sure it was quite cold that day. That why he's doing the flamenco --to warm up.

It does rather look like fat than muscle! Too many pies! Yet Alexander was reputed to be a fast runner and sprinters do have big thighs.
