I just watched the UCLA video and I want to puke. Those cops all deserve battery charges on the kid and assault charges on the people they said they'd "taze" for asking for their badge numbers, fucking pigs.

I got MAYBE two minutes into that and had to turn it off. I hadn't even heard about it on the news, but that is so disgusting.

lapd does ID checks after 10pm (or so) to make sure everyone in the library is a student. this guy did not want to show id. he thought he was being profiled. he started to go along with the officers when he was asked to leave, but then started to protest and encouraged others to protest as well. when he stopped being cooperative, he was tasered. and that's essentially where the video starts...

That is the gist of it, he was asked for his ID and said no, story goes he was then leaving the facility when an officer grabbed him, he said something to the effect of "let go" when they tased him. Supposedly they tased him after he was already in hand cuffs at least three times. With a taser also, sometimes it can take up to fifteen minutes for people to regain their coordination. At the very least they had more then enough man power to just drag him out. Even if he was a nonviolent protestor they had no right to torture him like that.
