Cute New Katydid!

Totally crossposting this from whats_that_bug again, because lazy. Apparently my dad wanted to give me a gift on the four year anniversary of his death. I have named her Ni, after Ichi.

Sorry to pop in so often with bugs, guys! I was so excited when someone posted Mai long stubbly green legs, let me show you them, because I love katydids and I never see them

Hey! That's what was on the wall of our kitchen the day that Robby and I moved into the new place! I knew that they were good omen bugs~ I got a picture with my phone, if you want to see. It's blurry though...

Seko apparently had the exact same flaw a little while ago; she took pictures and they blurred to hell. XD I wouldn't be opposed, though!

Google-fu seems to think this is a Fork-tailed Bush Katydid (Scudderia furcata), and apparently they kill oranges. Which is better than the non-herbivore katydids that apparently eat snakes and lizards. XD;
