Strange things you learn at parties

So there are some good party nights around here, and then there are some not so good. Then, there are those parties that are great, but later you're like "WTF man?". I'm having a WTF night, because there were some major points of weirdness mentioned. Mostly in the form of stories from back in the day, or information previously unknown ( Read more... )

Yeah the whole concept of "Oh if she wasn't taken" thing always got to me I think. Because seriously, if you care that much about a person, don't you want them to be HAPPY?! I mean yeah the person-not-in-a-relationship-but-wanting-one could think they could do a better job, but it's stupidly easy to sit on the outside and point out mistakes. Try BEING a part of it. It's not that easy :D

As for you and Dustin - Yeah I'd think by now if you wanted to kill him you would have. It goes back to the whole leadpipe thing. Or if you didn't want to be with him, you would have broken up. But at this point, I'm going to go ahead and say if you're together with someone for this long, there is something about that person that makes you happy, otherwise it wouldn't have happened to begin with.

Conclusion: Stillwater Gamer Guys are weird and just need to be happy for you. Best way to "win someone over" isn't by starting a line without your consent, it's by taking action and being there for someone.

All boys have the dumb, it's a proven scientific fact.

What really got me was the "oh, she killed her last boyfriend and just got out of prison, I gotta get me a piece of that!"

Where was I when the dumb was handed out? Did I miss a newsletter somewhere? I'm writing to my congressman about this! *stomps off to find his missing dumb*

Why the fuck would someone want to get with a person who killed/maimed their last significant other? I can understand (not really) if it was a purely physical attraction thing, but do people even care about one's mental state anymore? Murderer = no more friends for you, period! Murder + good looks does not equal, "OMG I would totally hit that!"
"Guy talk" or not, some things are plain stupid and should not be brushed off with such a simple "guy talk" excuse. Hey, if they think murder is okay, there should be no issue with baseball bat to the face, cuz you know, that's infinitely more acceptable than murder ^_^
