A few things for the week

Tonight I went to a stage interpretation of Joan Didion's memoir, Year of Magical Thinking. It was a beautiful and simple performance based on the period of time after her husband's death and how she processes the events and her own grief. It was a so good. It actually expanded on the memoir as she dealt with the death of her daughter the following year. The stage was a wooden pier that extended out to the audience from her memories of Malibu with a few seating fixtures set around. One actress did a complete 1 1/2 hr monologue. wow.

"Mistah Eff!" I've watched Arrested Development all the way through 3 or 4 times now (each time with a new person who hasn't seen it before) and still am not tired of it. I think I'm about due for another re-watching.

Also, your remark about Charlize Theron seeming smart is going to end up being deeply ironic.

Hehe, It is my second time through but I had missed a few episodes in season two. I think I will finish it this time with a tear knowing that there are no more left. The Charlize Theron misdirection is really one of my favorites of the series and I loved getting to see it as it evolved.
