Happy Birthday, Sandy!

Dec 04, 2009 00:35

I hope you have a fun and relaxing day, and that the new year of your life is a happy, healthy, injury-free one.
Congratulations on your many accomplishments in the past year - finishing the course, planting a garden, and of course, nurturing those three rambunctious kids.

Thanks Megan. I've had a lovely day, but my children wouldn't be children without injury. Holly had her other hand slammed in a door tonight at a Xmas party *sigh*

Is it just my impression, or is Holly the one who gets injured most of the time? Maybe she should do a sport - something to help her pay attention to what's going on around her - volleyball or basketball or some other kind of team sport, where you have to be aware of the positioning and intentions of lots of people.

Actually it is Alyssa who is injured the most, but Holly definitely needs some situational awareness. She's a kid who throws herself into any situation, which is why she gets hands caught in doors!

But next year she will join the netball team so hopefully we can develop some of those useful skills.
