I have this thing I keep up on the top shelf of my closet, shoved in the left corner, probably covered and hidden by numerous long-forgotten t-shirts that have never even been worn. I call it my boyfriend box

Once I fell so hard for this guy until I started paying attention to his pants, he only owned like three pair and he'd wear the same pair for a week in a row. I convinced myself he washed them each day until the same ink pen mark was on the right knee for four days straight.
Ha, gross! Why do guys go through that kind of thing? Where they think wearing the same thing every day isn't that big of a deal until someone slaps that idea out of them. I actually had a similar infatuation back in school, I had a thing for a guy that had a different outfit for Monday-Friday of the week and would start wearing them over once Monday came around again. I had them memorized, my friends thought I was nuts for paying so much attention.
I've heard some about that and it sounds like yours were off the charts in some ways. I think that's a huge mistake for parents to make, really. It just made me better at hiding things from them!
Yeah, that's how I feel about it too. It's all just a lot of things I'll never want to lose, they're too important. And I'm sure if I ever lose my mind and want kids some day, I'll want to show them some of where I came from when it comes to their own dating.
I was probably also among the last of my friends to start dating. Or to be allowed to start dating, maybe I should rephrase it that way. That's not to say I didn't get into plenty of trouble beforehand. I did. That box, it's a great idea. I tend to keep things, whether they be tattoos or material objects, but I've never been so organized as having a box of things from people I've dated.
It seems like a lot of girls who weren't allowed ended up kind of doing it anyway, even if they didn't exactly climb out bedroom windows to meet boys in the middle of the night. It just seems like growth-stunting to me to forbid dating, even if I wasn't ready when they told me not to anyway. I think the only thing that really kept me organized was knowing I was going to move again one day and not wanting to leave behind everything I'd done before.
