I said that I would pay for them if I could come back.

Insomnia is a mean accomplice to endless tired thought. I told someone last night that I don't usually like sleeping in beds that aren't mine and there's only been the very occasional exception to that rule. Any bed that's not yours stiffens underneath you, even if it's meant to be soft. If it's not in your usual comfort, it's hard to relax. The ( Read more... )

It's the worst feeling in the world to be at a wedding and listen to all that ceremony unfold and feel so doubtful. I was at a wedding like that a few weeks back and I told my friend that I hoped he knew what he was doing and he made a joke of it, like, "I guess we'll see." You never know.

The song you're listening to is a great one. Have you heard their new album yet?

Both times I've been in that situation of watching them be happy while thinking it just isn't going to work, I've wanted to say something to one of them so bad. But it's just not your place, even if it might save them trouble. People have to let their own thing unfold, even if it winds up bad. I just keep hoping for those people.

I haven't heard all of it yet but I got it last week. I've played the single that's out right now a ton already. They never disappoint me, I always find something I like.

Matchbox Twenty is such good weird mood music. I mean their music is great anyway but whenever I'm going through something there are so many Matchbox Twenty songs that I just need to listen to.

I'll never get tired of Matchbox Twenty, I fell hard for them as soon as Push came out. Which was partly Rob's fault, I was sort of in love with him for a while. He was so goofy but he was always amazing when he was performing. Do you have a favorite song they've done?

I don't think you can ever go wrong with loud music and that Counting Crows song is my favorite by them.

I've gone through a lot of loud music lately, I think I'm back to Pat Benatar right now. It's a favorite of mine for sure, I may never get sick of it.

Be careful with Muse. They have a habit of making you brood for hours, and then you'll be angsting away in the dark. It's always so hard to say anything to times like these. What can anyone say, really. We all have these moments in our lives where nothing can be done, but that doesn't change the fact that it sucks a hell of a lot regardless. There isn't really anything that can make it better, so I suppose for now the main comfort you'll find is angsting along to Muse songs. But if you'd like some company, all you ever have to do is say so. And in between the angst, I hope you sneak a song or two with a more hopeful sound.

You're really right about that, and I've been trying to back off with Muse since you've left this comment but I do crawl back to them at some point in the day. I think I just have to wait it out. Music helps almost any situation, especially the less happier ones, and I think I've told you before how much I freaking love Foo Fighters. I'll sneak them in, I promise. And thank you.

That's some tough stuff to deal with. I find that good music can get people through just about anything, though. Take it easy, I hope things get better.
