As many of you now might have heard, our own very dear spikeslovebite has suffered a personal tragedy with the passing of her youngest son, Kain. If you know Tami, you know Kain. I haven't written Spuffy for years but I'll contribute something if anyone wants me. How would you feel about getting people outside the Buffy fandom involved. Might be able to drum up more interest if I offer Supernatural or Avengers fiction.

I don't think it matters what you write? If you can get a higher bid from someone on another fandom, then all the better for Tam! I say go for it.

Kathleen even suggested we auction up other talents, ie I'm an avid knitter these days. So, if anyone has other skills they think might be of interest/worth to someone, then that might be good, too. What do you think?

My talents aren't so unique. I can whip up some legal papers, but beyond that? Not much. My eyes don't allow for much painting anymore, so . . . best I can do is offer some stories. But who knows, maybe some of the others have skillz.

I don't know anything about paypal -- but I'm going to assume that you'll set that up. . . let me know, because I have people who are asking for it. They may not bid on the fics, but they'd like to contribute anyway.

Yes, it's in the process of being set up. We are setting up a site to do the auction on and that will be part of the site--people won't have to bid, they can just donate if they wish. We do need an intro/explanation for the site and I was hoping you might be able to write something? We've set up with pics of Kain etc, but I really suck at emotional talk. If you could write something and send it to me at megpf27 at gmail that would be awesome.

I'll write something up, not a problem at all. Give me until tomorrow night, and I'll email it once it's done. Perhaps we'd be able to incorporate Rae's poem that was posted on FB. I'm sure neither of them would mind. And posting a couple of his pictures would be a cool idea.

Did you write the FB post? that was pretty good, you know. Just enough sentiment to get people involved, without being too much.

Can you send me your email and I'll give you the link to the auction site that has been done so far. We already have photos up. The poem would be great. I'll send it to Susan. I did write the FB post--c/p from EF News. I think it would be great if we could get some of the more current writers or graphic artists on board. Just in case no one gives a crap about us old farts writing again ;)
