SO now that I'm back way the hell out in the boonies of Chandler, again I say this because I live like 12 miles from all my friends. Anyway I am all registered for school, still no sign of credits or transcripts so the Irish school may get a call from me in September, a slightly irrate call....Grrr ( Read more... )

It's not like all the talking didn't ruin it for me. And I never even saw it before.

Right so you took the apology to Devin and Jason wrong. It was because I thought it was a bad movie for me not for talking. I am not going to apologize to them for that. Sorry to you if the talking ruined it but for the most part I haven't had a whole lot of human contact other than relatives all summer because for I seem to have fallen from people memory banks or good graces. But it is not like you were the most entertaining person of the night, you didn't even utter an objection to the conversation taking place a few seats over. And it couldn't have killed it that badly seeing in how the movie aside from an occassional laugh was a bunch of mind numbing bull shit. Sorry for the anger but you seem to have struck a nerve in your misinturpertation of the apologetic meaning I posted. But your right I do apologize for the disruption of the movie I may have caused to you, but heaven forbid you should have to make a trip to blockbuster to discover all the mind numbing bull shit you missed. Talk to me on a better day but for now good luck to ( ... )

That's funny Alex, while we were at my house I seem to remeber you saying something to the extent that "I don't care" about the whole talking thing.

For some odd reason I find amusement in that.

I just didn't find it amusing, and I can asure you that there are probably a hundred movies that I would find amusing that you wouldn't. Lets call it a difference of opinion and move on.

Key words "Pointless dribble that is funny'. I don't do 'pointless dribble that is boring.'

So far we've got Don't Drink the Water by Woody Allen (it's really really funny) and a musical titled How to Eat Like a Child. We'll have two more plays, but they haven't been announced yet.

[This is Devin, by the way]
[...and Fargo kicks ass.]
[so there!]

dude your talking to a classic movie fan and the main part of that is watching a story develop, so don't even go and try and insult my intelligence by saying that I need explosions and/or car chases to enjoy a movie. I just didn't like it or what I saw of it and you did, I'm leaving it there.

did you ACTUALLY SAY "it isn't supposed to be an entertaining movie'??. Thats the point of a movie. To be intertaining. I saw Amelie and loved it. it was a pretty artsy film. And you know what. it entertained me. Finding Neverland, Garden State. All slow, all intertaining in its own way. If you can actually say that 'Fargo' isn't supposed to be an entertaining movie, I think you've just justified our entire argument.

People watch Movies for some kind of entertainment, not just to take up time, otherwise they'd go outside, throw bricks in the air and wait under them so they'd hit them in the face.
