this afternoon i took a three hour nap. my mom woke me up because she bought me baklava and made me pizza with goat cheese and onions. that was nice. now i am updating my livejournal (for elizabeth) and trying to put music on my ipod because, as i have mentioned a number of times, the radio in vermont is awful. yes, i am leaving for vermont

i was talking about that with my mother last night, the UN thing i mean. about how disturbing it is that i just never thought about that before, ever, until the UN said something. and it seems like it should have occurred to someone before now that that is probably not okay.

i would be impressed if you skiied; i wouldn't. and i will call you, and it would be good to not go online.

i miss you reed. thanks for updating. if i didn't have play rehersal until ungodly hours all week, i would go to vt with you. as it is, lots of "the quality of mercy is not strained" soliliquizing leading up to friday and sat. my parents are going to new mexico for a funeral, so i will be home alone for a while.

i spoke to a old drunk frenchman on the train today. he was drinking out of a gatorade bottle. i'm not exactly sure that i understood him right--something about the mohammed cartoons.

come away with me to s. africa. if you don't, i guess i can arrive at camp and run down the hill to greet you, screaming, brea style.
