a beautiful girl cried on my shoulder last night

today...my mother made me a delicious sandwich for lunch and wati sent me a beautiful postcard. i talked to ms. lund for a long time after school and i touched her. it seemed completely natural at the time, but i don't think i have ever touched a teacher before. i might see elizabeth this weekend and will hopefully visit hannah in el near futuro.

i wonder what will happen to ms. lund. i mean, she seems to us like she is all done but she probably has at least thirty more years to live. maybe she will move back to california and live in an avocado tree.

mm, she mentioned leaving her husband and her kids and moving to hawaii a few times yesterday. i am pretty sure she was kidding.

it is interesting-- in the crucible our director has made a very concious decision that my husband, john, and i don't touch eachother for the whole first scene. no hand on the arm or shoulder at all. then, when i am being arrested, i finally grab his hand. it feels so different now for that wall between our characters to finally be broken.
i watched x men at a sleepover last weekent. there is a girl there who's "mutation" means that she can't ever touch anyone or be touched. it is interesting how incredibly miserable that would be.

mm, yeah. that yould be miserable. also, i think that grabbing his hand is okay, but no more swing dancing with waiters.

yesterday in emt class i was strapped to a backboard for a while, and when my partner went to try and our teacher i was thinking about how long someone could live like that. i'm not sure how long it would take, but i really think i would just die. and technically, i think that if you somehow magically had food and water, you would actually last for quite a while. which is sort of disturbing.
